 Oasis - The albums & singles portfolio collection by Michael Spencer Jones

Spellbound publications are proud to present a new limited edition portfolio by acclaimed photographer Michael Spencer Jones – The Oasis albums and singles portfolio collection includes a large format limited edition book on Oasis.

 

Michael Spencer Jones was the photographer chosen by Oasis to create images for their albums, Definitely Maybe, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? and Be Here Now and many of their single covers including Wonderwall and Roll With It. Two years in the making, the portfolio collection is strictly limited to 250 copies worldwide and presents a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of Oasis history. The portfolio comprises 10 original limited edition photographs of Oasis’ sleeve artwork. They include Oasis’first 3 iconic album covers; Definitely Maybe, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, and Be Here Now  and 7 of their famous single covers; Supersonic, Shaker Maker , Cigarettes & Alcohol, Whatever, Roll With It, Wonderwall, and Don’t Look Back In Anger. Housed within a luxurious hand-made portfolio case each photograph is archivally window mounted to museum standard, individually numbered and personally signed by Michael Spencer Jones.

 

In addition to the 10 mounted and signed artworks there is included a 198 page large format book entitled Out of the Blue – The Oasis Photographs. As well as creating their artwork Michael travelled with the band and followed them into the studio. This remarkable collection of photographs assembled in Out of the Blue includes the out-takes from the album sessions as well as a host of images of Oasis at work and at play – rehearsing, recording in the studio, in performance, on tour and off duty. An illuminating text of over 12,500 words accompanies this collection of stunning images, revealing the stories behind the classic cover shots and providing a first hand insight into the life of Oasis and the making of a rock’n’roll legend. 

 

This Book represents the most definitive pictorial history of Oasis ever Published

 

     

 

Deluxe edition

The first 50 copies of the portfolio collection form the deluxe edition and come with 5 additional limited edition photographs personally signed by Michael Spencer Jones and numbered 1-50. These photographs feature the original cover artwork for Live Forever, Some Might Say, D’You Know What I Mean?, All Around the World and the original previously unseen night shot for the cover for Oasis’ album Be Here Now.
