About Justin Hampton
Hampton was born in Santa Cruz California in 1968. After studying Art in his home state of Oregon he moved to Seattle where he commenced his creative career. Although his professional career began with famed graphic designers Art Chantry & Jeff Kleinsmith at music magazine, Rocket, his interest in art started much earlier. As a child he would copy and create comic strips. His childhood hobby had a profound affect on Hampton’s graphical style. Influences from pop culture; street art and comics seep into his bold line work and vivid color palette creating an unmistakable aesthetic in his music posters and art prints. 30 years on he has become a renowned figure in the modern rock poster scene and can be found internationally in both private collections and galleries.
