SO FAR AWAY was written and recorded by Carole King for Ode Records in 1971. It enjoyed ten weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at # 14. It appeared on Carol's Grammy award winning album, Tapestry, which remained on the album charts for 302 weeks. Carole King was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1987 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. The original for this piece was authentically handwritten and illustrated by Carole King. Graham Nash's fine art printing company, Nash Editions, printed the piece in an edition of 1000.
